Dave Dye and I are becoming taxpayers of Okanogan County in eastern Washington! We went together to purchase 20 acres of land just east of Tonasket (if all goes as planned). Dave gets credit for hatching the idea but I jumped on board pretty quick. We may be getting in on the last affordable land in the entire state! Until the area booms we'll have our own personal campground with room to roam, shoot at things and fishing isn't far away! If and when it booms (or gets too neighborly), then it will hopefully have been a good investment. We're kind of hoping that will take awhile. The valley roadway you see in the 2nd photo is Hwy 20 east of Tonasket, the first four photos are all looking north. So we now have a free camping spot for all our friends, reservations now being taken! Currently no ammenties and BYOO! Also worth noting, absolutely all the land you see in the photos is not really ours. Coming from Seattle we figured 20 acres would have been the whole mountain and valley. Turns out 660' x 1320' is actually not a real huge chunk of Okanogan County. And maybe you could guess from the barren landscape that BYOO means "Bring Your Own Outhouse"!
