Vancouver, BC
A land of political statements
So we joined right in. Critical Mass 2008!
What...you haven't heard? I hadn't either. Basically bikes take over the streets during rush hour and go on a big parade. The motto: Live Free or Drive!
If you can't beat 'em, join 'em. We had a good time. Below is a clip of our typical non Tour de France pace. Making this all flow smoothly were the "corkers". They stop the traffic for us on the side streets so we can keep on rolling through. And likely form lasting bonds with these poor carbon producing blokes at the front of the line. I saw no one ran over, that was good. Just a few animated discussions.

Below is a clip of the best use of a tandem bicycle I had ever seen! Note that one drummer is actually on a different bike than his drum.

It's a nice City
And Vancouver is home to TURNCO Wood Products Ltd, the best turners in the biz. I was impressed. Now if i can only fit some of these nice columns into my 800sf architecture! www.turncowoodproducts.com
