My craigslist browsing found success....an older International 470 class sailboat.

A full evening/night trip to get this beauty home from Gig Harbor

And the first person to tell me what all these lines are for can be my crew! Yikes! An FYI, the crew hangs out the side of the boat in a trapeze harness as seen in the YouTube video clips below. I think there needs to be a certain amount of trust involved.

Any crew volunteers need to be willing to swim. Small sailboats capsize, that's just part of it. The clip below pretty much demonstrates this :)

One last inspirational clip!

I know nothing about sailing but would be glad to come up and be a crewperson. I can swim too :)

Well, I'm sure glad I watched the video clips! I feel so much better about this sailboat. Good grief, it looks like a rollercoaster on waves! I don't think this is like the boats we see on Clear Lake! I'd be happy to put it back on Craig's List for you!! :o)
yep, it's your mother...fainting (again!)

Oh good...swimming skills might be needed!

Nah....not really mom. The people in those clips didn't have the Seattle Parks and Rec sailing training I've been through :) We'll stay dry and fine!

Actually it's pretty safe at the moment...it sits in the garage as I puzzle over what all these sheets and lines do (sailors terms for ropes....I'm practicing the lingo).
