BWCA 2009
My first and hopefully not last visit to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area of Northern Minnesota

A big thanks to our friend/brother/cousin guide!
A party only Louis and Clark could love.
If you are going to go.... this is not a bad way to do it. You may have to find a willing younger cousin as Laura did. In her defense she pitched in most of the time though..... this must have been the warm up.
The state bird, a Loon.
Base camp was Ensign Lake, 10 miles from our starting point. From there we checked out a few nearby lakes but were basically happy to swim and fish on this particular lake.

Ryan played fishing guide as well, everyone managed to catch some nice fish. Danielle in the pink shirt could sure catch them....she just couldn't touch them.
And of course a new highlight to any Ely trip is little miss Molly.

The Marshall lakefront property was a great end to a great trip!

After 5 of these.....

I managed to get up!

nice- very nice- molly is quite a cutie, love her expressions. Also love all the fishing shots- I was wondering where all the big fish had gone...

Wow--that was an amazing trip. I think your Dad is thinking that looks to be a perfect kind of cruise. Probably the only kind he'd care to take. Nice photo shots and Molly IS exceptionally cute!
