Summiting Mt Stuart

Dan invited me along to conquer his nemesis from a couple months back. It was all we could ask for in a scramble....and maybe a bit more that we expected!
After climbing for three miles to the top of Long's Pass....we could see the down and the up that still lay ahead.
And after a not so restful night on 1" thermarests.......the summit beckoned. Sure looked far from down here. It is the tallest point on the left side of the picture below.

wow! the view was well worth it. Well done.
Hah...we were more like panting puppies by the time we made it back to the car!
You've got some great shots Justin!I Love it!
Oh my WORD! That was really a climb. As we were showing them to Harry and Darryl just now and came to the rock scramble --B4 I read it I exclaimed, "He said they weren't going to climb rocks!" and then we laughed at the words "Not really mom"..you knew what I'd be saying! I'm sure those were good hamburgers in Cle Elum.
Egads that scares me!! Nicely done, but I think I like little meanderings through forests on fairly flat trails! Or at least no seriously climbing!!
I love that shot with the sun peaking through the clouds- its a magical, much like an inspiration poster.

Totally jealous. I have wanted to climb Mt. Stuart ever since climbing in the Enchantments and staring at that big massif all day. Nicely done!
